A traditional wiki ... is a style of website that allows anyone to edit each web page using nothing more than a regular web browser.A wiki makes it easy to create pages on any topic and makes it easy to link these topics together in a way that makes sense.
While traditional wikis are used for collaboration, you can use Personal wikis to easily take notes and keep track of your own ideas and projects. The software is easy to install.
Once you have your wiki up and running, you can use it to keep track of any piece of information that you come across and find useful, or maybe you just think it will useful in the future. Because of the ease of editing, you can easily group items that are similar, even if you have the ideas at different times. Once you start putting your ideas into a wiki, you will begin to notice patterns within your thoughts and ideas.

With a wiki, you may have a random idea and write it down on your home page because you don't know what else to do with it. Some time later, you have a second thought that goes with it, and now you can move the two thoughts off together on their own page. If you're looking to get started with a personal wiki, you can't do much better than Luminotes. It's good for when you need to make lots of links between your inter-related notes and ideas.
