Remember Harry S. Truman and "the buck stops here"? Have you ever noticed that conservative leaders are always victims of the failures of their underlings to do their jobs?

Chris Cox is a failure, not just as SEC chairman, but as a human being. Pond scum. Pig. Jack ass.

(This isn't to say that the SEC as a whole isn't responsible for this failure. Too many people who are too close to big business have infiltrated the organization. Obama needs to appoint a reformer without ties to big business. I'd say go for Eliot Spitzer but in this country, seeing prostitutes is more important than being competent at your job. John Edwards wouldn't be a bad choice but having an affair is more important than basic competence. Fortunately, there are plenty of progressives who can reform this agency.)
