Going forward if you want taxpayers to help you survive, if you want the people at your financial institution to have a job tomorrow, then you're going to have to limit everyone's pay at your company to the same salary that the president of the United States makes. Now once they're off the public dole, once the taxpayers aren't footing the bill, then it's not as much our business what they get paid. But right now they're on the hook to us. And they owe us something other than a fancy waste basket and $50 million jet.The most important point here is that this would be a condition of receiving taxpayer money. I heard a conservative deriding this as "socialism", but you know what, if we are paying to help these companies out, even if we are doing it for our own self interests, then we should have a say in how things are run. Good for you Senator! More, please.

Sam Stein has a most impressive piece of journalism up at The Huffington Post. The gist of the article is this: days after receiving 25 billion in federal bailout dollars, the Bank of America led a call including other bailout recipients, to defeat the Employee Free Choice Act. These companies are encouraging these companies, which are hurting so bad they need federal funds, to fight the Employee Free Choice Act.
The leaders of any company that uses government money to fight unions should be held accountable. Pigs.

Criticism

As you can tell, I am not, and will not be shy to criticize President Obama. I doubt it would be possible for him to make me wish that McCain had won the election. Best of all, I expect him to do much more that pleases me than angers me.
Here's an example. Citigroup was rescued with 45 billion dollars of the people's money. They intended to use TARP funds to purchase a 50 million dollar corporate jet. The purchase has been nixed. Why? The Obama administration. Accountability is back.
