I'm not one who goes in for accusations of people being anti-American. I'm not sure exactly how or why you would characterize someone as anti-American, short of outright spying for the enemy. What does it take? Thinking about it, I think I've found some genuine incidences of anti-Americanism in our history.
The Confederacy and all who support it are anti-American. I guess this one is sort of obvious. If you are an American citizen and you take up arms against your own country, or support those who did, you are clearly anti-American. Let's not pretend that those who fought for the Confederacy had any honor at all.
The militia nuts are clearly anti-America. If they don't have faith in our own military and our own government and think they need to arm themselves for potential overthrow, then they hate America. Seems clear.
Finally, there's Glenn Beck and Chuck Norris. Seems to me that if you openly talk about seceding from the union, then you are anti-America. I mean, what is more anti-American than not wanting to be an American anymore?
