The priorities of our news organizations is astounding. Journalism ceased being about "nobility" and has become far more about the fame. That's the irony of "All the President's Men". The reporting by Bernstein and Woodward was impeccable and just, but the movie and the fame ruined a generation of journalists. The goal is no longer to expose the corruption behind power, but to be played by Robert Redford in the movie based on your story.
