I'm tired of feigning shock at the continued abuses of power by the Bush Administration. Here's the latest:

The inspector general of the Interior Department has found that agency officials often interfered with scientific work in order to limit protections for species at risk of becoming extinct, reviving attention to years of disputes over the Bush administration’s science policies.

There is a pattern of that has emerged in the executive branch of our government as run by George W. Bush. The reports that are generated by our government agencies are based on foregone conclusions. Then, the agencies attempt to find evidence to support their conclusions. Any evidence to the contrary is rejected because it doesn't validate the conclusion.

This is why they have ignored the scientific community. This is why they ignored the intelligence community in the run up to the Iraqi war. This is just one of the many reasons that the American people voted Barack Obama into office.
