I don't care for Dana Perino. Actually, I haven't cared for any of President Bush's spokesmen (spokeswomen? whatever). Anyone who takes a job that requires them to lie to the press and the American people on a regular basis is hard to respect. She will occasionally say something so stupid, something that clearly shows that she doesn't think the American people are smart enough to see through her crap, that it needs to be called out.

Take the auto industry bailout. The Bush administration currently has the ability to use funds from the already passed $700 billion dollar bailout bill to provide emergency loans to the auto industry. The President-Elect encouraged Bush to do this. The Bush Administration opposes this approach.

So, the Bush administration already has the power to save the auto industry as granted by Congress but refuses to do so. Now that any attempt in the Senate has stalled, she said that if Congress "leaves for a two-month vacation without having addressed this important issue ... then the Congress will bear responsibility for anything that happens." In other words, we refuse to fix it when we have the power, but if you don't, we'll still blame you.

Dana Perino says that George Bush is prepared to torpedo our economy in order to make Congress look bad. Dana Perino and her boss are contemptible. It's amazing to think with only two months to go, they can cause even more damage to the nation.

Worst administration ever.
