"You know, look, it's not perfect," the president conceded. "But it is the right size, it is the right scope. Broadly speaking, it has the right priorities to create jobs that will jump-start our economy and transform the economy for the 21st century."
Mr. President, you have my full support and I want to see this bill passed post-haste. However, it is, at best, a beginning. It certainly is not the right size and scope. It's time to pull out your copy of "The Defining Moment" ... you must be bold, reject the conventional wisdom about what constitutes the Washington press corps' vision, and do what textbook economics suggests. This is no time for budget hawks. This is a time for action.
