Here's why abstinence-only education should be abandoned: it doesn't work. Why doesn't it work? Well, while we can all agree that abstinence is the only fool proof method of avoiding pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease. abstinence education does not make a teenager more likely to abstain from sex. Personally, I think the government should spend their money on sex education programs that work. Of course, I don't think sex is immoral, so for me, the choice is easy.
