Bill O'Reilly is leaving his radio show on February 27th. That might be good news but Westwood One has announced Fred Thompson as his replacement. For those of you who have no idea who this man is, he is, at best, a mediocre actor who appeared for years on Law & Order. He was "drafted" into the race for the Republican nomination for President and was considered by many to be the man who would save the Presidency for the party from the awful early candidates such as Romney, Guiliani, Huckabee, and, yes, McCain.

Like everything Republican, whether it's politicians or ideas, Fred Thompson was a failure in 2008. Expect his radio show to fail as well. There's nothing wrong with gloating about that failure.
