I think it's fair to ask ... is Bush trying to destroy our relationship with Pakistan ahead of Obama taking office?

It's not so much that I have a problem with attacking militants who have fled Afghanistan into Pakistan, it's more that when these strikes go bad, it serves to hurt our cause by turning the people in the attacked regions even more against us.

Certainly, there are no easy solutions to Pakistan. It will require tricky diplomacy on our part. It's time to get the new administration into office and get the work started.
