8 Reasons I'm Thankful #3

I am thankful that the Republican party has become a disaster. Their membership rejected candidate after candidate (Giuliani, Thompson, Romney, Huckabee) and then they were left with the cranky old guy by default. Their Congressional leadership consists of the inept John Boehner (who believes that the elimination of the capital gains tax would get the economy back on track ... this is stupidity of the highest order) and the evil Mitch McConnell, who barely held on to his seat in the very red state of Kentucky. There's talk that they will place former Ohio Secretary of State Blackwell in charge of the RNC.

I love it. It's good to be a Democrat in 2008 and it will be even better to be one in 2010 and 2012.
