8 Reasons I'm Thankful #8
I'm not sure where to begin, so I'm going to keep this short and sweet. In April of 2002, I set out on a path that has led me to a place where I never thought I would arrive. Meeting my wife was one of the defining moments of my life, and marrying her two years later was the single most joyous feeling I have ever experienced.
When I reflect on why politics matter so much to me, it has come to mean the following. It matters because of the future that Nicole and I are building together. It matters because of the children that Nicole and I will raise together. I want more for my child out of this country than this country has given to the current generation of children. I want more out of this world for my wife and for my child.
I'm thankful to have met Nicole and to have married Nicole. Most of all, I'm thankful for the family that we will build together. I'm thankful for our shared future.
Nicole, I love you.
