Even in these tough times, people continue to help each other. Even when more and more people are having to rely on the generosity of strangers, people continue to give. Do not underestimate the true liberal spirit of Americans. The rich and the greedy may control much of our society, but the vast majority of people are more than capable of empathy and basic decency. (If only they would all consider their empathy for others when entering a voting booth!)
