It makes no sense to try and balance the budget in a time of financial crisis. It will make the crisis worse. Why? Government spending is an absolute necessary to pull the country out of the funk.

It makes no sense to run the government like a business. A business is looking to make a profit. A government is looking to serve the people. Besides, considering the shape of American business today, would you really want your government running like one?

It makes no sense to blame the financial crisis on labor unions. It is not the workers who have made the decisions that have sent the airlines, the car industry and the financial industry into tailspins.
